2. Website use
- Website content is for general information and may change without notice.
- Reasonable steps are taken to keep content accurate, but accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Website access may be suspended for maintenance or technical reasons.
3. Quotes, pricing and packages
- Package prices and “from” prices are indicative until the job is confirmed.
- A remote verification process may be used to confirm scope, which can include questions and photo checks.
- If the actual job differs from the information provided, pricing and availability may change. Any changes should be explained before work starts.
- VAT applies where stated.
Common exclusions unless quoted separately may include (examples): powerflush, flue relocation or vertical flue kits, gas supply upgrades, system conversions, asbestos removal, and building works or making good beyond basic.
4. Bookings and appointments
- A booking is confirmed once acceptance is received and a date is agreed.
- Access to the property must be provided at the agreed time, including safe access to the boiler, flue route, gas meter and relevant controls.
- If access is not available or the area is unsafe, the visit may need to be rearranged and reasonable charges may apply.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
- If an appointment needs to be changed, contact should be made as soon as possible.
- Where materials, time or third-party costs have been committed, a reasonable charge may apply to cover costs already incurred.
- Any call-out, diagnostic or survey fees (if applicable) should be made clear at the time of booking.
6. Repairs
- Repairs aim to restore heating and hot water where possible, but outcomes depend on fault type, parts availability, and appliance condition.
- For older boilers or repeated breakdowns, replacement may be recommended instead of continued repair.
- If further faults are discovered during diagnosis, options and pricing should be discussed before additional work.
7. Installations and replacements
- Work is carried out by appropriately qualified engineers. Installations are tested and certified, with warranty registration handled where included.
- Warranty length and terms are set by the manufacturer and may depend on model, controls and registration conditions.
- If the installation cannot proceed due to unexpected site conditions not disclosed or visible during verification, the job may need to be rescheduled or re-quoted.
8. Customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Providing accurate information during enquiry and verification (including photos where requested)
- Ensuring the area is clear and safe to work in
- Declaring known issues that could affect the job (for example leaks, previous unsafe work, or restricted access)
- Ensuring suitable permission is in place (landlord consent, managing agent approval, freeholder approval, or listed-building requirements where applicable)
9. Payments
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. This may include deposits, staged payments, or payment on completion depending on the job.
10. Complaints and problem resolution
If something is not right, contact should be made promptly using the details above. The goal is to resolve issues fairly and quickly. Where needed, photos and access for inspection may be requested.
11. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.
- For other losses, liability is limited to foreseeable loss and may be capped at the value of the service provided, to the extent permitted by law.
- Boiler Boys is not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside reasonable control (for example severe weather, supplier delays, or emergency access restrictions).
12. Intellectual property
Website text, logos and other content belong to Boiler Boys or licensors. Copying or re-use without permission is not allowed.
13. Privacy
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
